Mission of the Department
The Department seeks to serve as the council’s chief financial policy advisor by promoting responsible resource allocation through the council’s annual budget and ensuring the financial integrity and accountability of the Municipality
Overall Functions of the Department
- 1. Providing strategic financial advice to council
- 2. Providing a sound financial management system
- 3. Ensuring effective budgeting
- 4. Ensuring adherence to the budget guidelines
- 5. Ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations
- 6. Mobilizing and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- 7. Promoting financial public participation in Council.
